Lakes Dentistry Answers Your Family, Restorative, and Cosmetic Dental Questions
What does it mean if my gums bleed?
Bleeding gums usually mean you have a periodontal issue. In other words, chances are good that you have gum disease. If your gums bleed, or if they’re swollen, red, and pulling away from you teeth, please call us immediately! Periodontal therapy will remove plaque and tartar above and below the gum line, and return your gums to optimal health.
Do you offer cavity protection options for children?
Yes! With our family dentistry services, we can help protect your children from tooth decay! We offer both dental sealants and fluoride supplements. The sealant is a material that is “painted” onto the back teeth and then hardened with a special light. Your child’s teeth will be protected for years to come. Fluoride supplements can be given to your child at their regular checkup. It only takes a few minutes to apply to the gel, and the additional fluoride will give your child cavity protection that will last between dental visits.
My teeth are in such bad shape, I don’t like to smile. Can you help me?
If you have gaps, misalignments, fractures, or discolorations, we can recreate a smile that will make you proud. We offer plenty of cosmetic dentistry choices to fix impaired and darkened teeth—such as porcelain veneers or a full-mouth reconstruction. Make an appointment with Lakes Dentistry today so our dentists can discuss all your smile makeover options!
What are my options for fixing dull, yellowed teeth?
At Lakes Dentistry, we can brighten your smile with our teeth whitening take-home kit. With our custom-made trays and professional grade gel, you’ll have a smile up to eight shades whiter in just 14 days. Or you might consider a more permanent option—porcelain veneers. Veneers can also fix odd spaces, and cracked or broken teeth.
